Again...Baby Boy Name Opinion?

So my hubby and I have a difficult time agreeing on names for our children. It took us forever to agree on names for our baby girls before they were born. I figured baby boy names would be easier...I was wrong! I made a list of the names both of us liked and we had to rate them from 1-5 stars. A name had to get 5 stars to make it to the next round. So here are the names we like that made 5 stars or more. (Most of my names got the boot, hubby disliked most of them!)

Owen

Dane

Lucas (Luke)

Zander/Xander%26lt;--Can't agree on the spelling.

Deven

Cassius/Cashus "Cash" %26lt;---Again, spelling disagreement

Tucker

Last name starts with "M", three syllables.

We like to get general opinions from others on our baby names as we do not share the names with anyone we know until the baby is born...we learned our lesson from our first child!

Our daughters are named Peyton and Brynn.

I understand that not everyone is going to like them but if you can tell what you do not like about them (or what you do like) that would be great!

Again...Baby Boy Name Opinion?
Lucas (Luke)

Zander/Xander%26lt;--Can't agree on the spelling.

Cassius/Cashus "Cash"

These 3 were on our list well.

This was the order I liked them...

Luke, Cassius, and Zander

Husband liked...

Cassius, Zander, Luke.

He loved the name Cash, I just didn't with our last name.

If you choose Cassius, I would spell it the traditional way. Vanessa Marcil named her son Kassius and it looks cute that way too but I prefer the C.
Reply:Dane is adorable

Tucker is my favorite

i don't like the rest.

i think Peyton, Brynn, and Tucker would be the best choice.
Reply:Lucas is my favorite, then Owen, then Deven. I don't like the others that much. My dogs name is Tucker so I personally can't see naming a kid that.
Reply:Tucker - 5

Cassius / Cash - 5

Owen - 4

Dane - 3

Deven- 3

Lucas- 3

Xander- 2
Reply:I agree with your statement on Tucker,

I think it is really cute for a kid up to about 6 years old, but after that, not a good pick.
Reply:Zander is my favorite!!!!!! If I have another little boy we are going to name him Zander Caige. that is my favorite.
Reply:I love Owen and Tucker! If you go with Xander that is the spelling I would use.
Reply:I like Owen Lucas And tucker good name in my opinion :)
Reply:Deven , goes better with your 2 girls Peyton %26amp; Brynn.
Reply:I like Owen, Lucas, Xander and Deven. Those are great names
Reply:Lucas! Great name.
Reply:Dane and Lucus.

Just good, strong, normal names!
Reply:i wud say zander or how about zane ?
Reply:cash is my fav, i was gonna use htat but we already have an R thing goign with our other two
Reply:okay......my favourite is Dane.....and Owen as a middle name.

When I hear Luke,...or Lucas it reminds me of a big floppy dog. sorry....Zander, or Xander.....is too far out there...and reminds me of Xanido, with Olivia newton john......Deven is too common....and also used for a girl.....Cash and Tucker,....he'll just get teased. I know a girl that I worked with,...and her last name was tucker...and she always said "that's tucker with an "F".....

Anyhow...what about "hudson"...or "Nolan"...

good luck....sorry for my blunt opinion.....but you asked for it.

thanks.
Reply:Owen: I like it. I think it'd be good as a kids name and as an adult name.

Dane: REALLY don't like this one. Dane as in like A Dane?

Lucas (Luke): This one is my favorite out of all of them. I don't know why, I just really like it. I think it'd be cute to call him Luke as a little kid, and it will still work for when grows up. :)

Zander/Xander: This one is my second favorite. I like Xander better for spelling personally. But that's me. It works! :)

Deven: Third favorite. Just not really sold on the spelling. But I think it works too. :)

Cassius/Cashus: DI don't like it. A kid with the Cassius/Cashus? Plus I think he would have a hard time spelling it. lol

Tucker: It sounds like an annoying little boy. But that's probably just cause I grew up with a kid named Tucker who annoyed me lol.
Reply:I hate Cash, Cassius whatever.... Cassius sounds weird as heck, and Cash is not a great nickname especially for an adult. Its the kind of nickname that in theory sounds cool, but thats about it. I love Owen, and Dane because they are unique, and still normal. I like Luke, but I am hearing it a lot lately so its losing its charm to me. Xander reminds me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Deven I used to like, but it is used a lot for girls so I don't care for it as much. Tucker- I just don't like names that sound like verbs. It also sounds like a name for only a little boy, and not a man.

So I hope you don't take any of this offensively I was just going off my first thoughts hearing each name. I love your daughters' names.
Reply:I like Dane, Lucas, and Xander. They would sound the best with a 3 syllable last name, and sound nice with your daughters names too (pretty names). For me, I don't care for Owen, because I knew a guy named Owen who was a jerk ! LOL ! I don't care for Deven because it is a very unisex name now, and I don't care for Cassius because I immediately thought of Cassius Clay. :) And, to me, Tucker sounds like a dog's name. But that is just one opinion. Ultimately, the deecision is what you and the hubby like best. have you tried asking your family members and your girls ? Maybe they can give you their opinions too ! We did a little "survey" for our family when we couldn't decide on our baby's name. The answers were interesting and fun ! Good luck and best wishes with your baby !!
Reply:Owen: 8/10: I like this name. It is not very common, it is easy to spell and pronounce, and it can't be made into a nasty nickname.

Dane: 8/10- This name has the same qualities as Owen for me. Easy to spell and pronounce, not very common (as far as I know) and no nasty nicknames.

Lucas (Luke): 5/10- Although I like this name alot it is to common for me. But it is a nice name.

Zander/Xander: 6/10- I like the spelling Zander better than Xander. I think that it is unique. It reminds me of a show I used to watch when I was younger.

Deven: 4/10. I am sorry but I do not like the spelling of this name. It is also to common for me.

Cassius/Cashus "Cash": 4/10- Although this is defiantly a unique name I think that it has the possibility of some nasty nicknames. I also wouldn't want my son to be nick named Cash. Of course this is all my personal preference.

Tucker: 5/10- I kind of have mixed feelings about this name. I guess the reason that I have a hard time thinking of this name for a child is because I had a dog names Tucker when I was a child. If I had not had that experience I would say that it is unique/ easy to spell and pronounce.

On another note I adore your daughter's names. I wanted to name my baby Peyton if he had been a girl.

Good Luck and Congrats.
Reply:I like Owen maybe Tucker as the middle name sounds great together

and Xander Lucas.. has a good sound to it..

I understand how hard it is with name I have 3 kids and one more on the way. My hubby like different names and my first 2 are traditional names, and the 3rd has a traditional and little different middle name. this one is a boy I am carrying now, and I decide to name him after my dad ( whom passed away a year ago) and my brothers middle name Hurshel Lee...

Hurshel is a name that different and you really dont hear, but I thought about it the other day OMG what if he doesnt look like a Hurshel, ( you know you look at your kid and the name you loved just doesnt look like them...LOL so I need a back up too..

anyway i wish you luck.. take care
