Is the baby name Ingrid good?? My aunt is pregnet and she said I could name the baby

Oh, Ingrid is more than good ... especially with the connection you'd share with the baby. It's a lovely idea! ;)





And as for some of the "ugh" and "old-fashioned" comments, just take a look at most of the names currently popular. Emily, Emma, Ava, Abigail, Olivia, Hannah and Sophia make up most of the top TEN, and all are old-fashioned revivals. It's the little Jessicas, Amandas, Ashleys, Nicoles and Stephanies that will seem "old" when this child is in school. But Ingrid, fitting in with the old-fashioned trend without being overly-common itself, is exactly the sort of name that will be seen as interesting and refreshing. Wonderful job!

Reply:I think Ingrid is just that these days--a middle name. It is not bad, but it is not one I would use for a FIRST name.

Reply:Ingrid is a cute name. When cominng up with baby names, you have to keep in mind all the teasing a child may get in elementary school if a bad name is chosen. I don't see anything wrong with that name though. If I were to name it, Ako would be my choice. I saw it on the credits of some video game and was like Oh my God! That's a cool name! :)
Reply:Ingrid sounds old fashioned to me, but it seems like that is becoming the norm. A lot of older names are coming back. If you and your Aunt like it, go for it!
